Question: Are the rear lens caps the same on these two lenses?

ok i have a Tamron 80mm, and a Canon 200mm lens, now i know the Front lens caps are 55mm and 52mm but what size are the Rear caps? are they the say size as the front lens caps, is the rear caps all the same size or is they completely differant sizes, if so where do i find what size they are? thanks for the help.

Answer: If both lenses mount correctly to your camera without any adapters then the rear caps are interchangeable. The back caps fit depending on the mount whereas the front caps fit depending on the filter diameter.

Follow-up:
Canon, since they started the business, have used two mounts: the FD, and the EF/EF-S. Tamron manufactures 3rd party lenses for several camera companies; they have made lenses for both Canon mounts. The easiest way to check, if you have both lenses present, is to look at both mounts and see if the grooves, latches, and whatever else are identical.

Question: Canon EF-S 55-250mm lens comes with lens cap?

Answer: If you purchased New yes, but should also come with a lens hood and soft carrying case and the rear cover. Second hand, so get what you get. Good Luck
