Question: What's the difference between Nikon lenses AF-S 18-135mm G-ED and the Nikon AF-S 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED?
Which one would be best to used for sports? And should I attach the lens hood for all pics?
Answer: As long as it's outside, in daylight, they'll both do well. The 18-135 is sharper, but the 55-200 will get you closer.
Of course a 70-300 would be even better.
If it's indoors, or at night, they are all bad . In those situations you'll need a faster lens.

Question: Parasol?Hello, I bought the Nikkor 18-55mm ED II AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor Lens and 55-200mm AF-S DX Zoom Lens (to work with the D40x), but I have no umbrellas with them. So I dug around a bit on Amazon and find the Nikon HB-34 Lens Hood for Nikkor 55-200mm DX lens - now my question is, this campaign work well in both lenses or if I have to buy one for 18-55mm lens? I am new to DSLR so I apologize in advance if this is a question of delay ..! Thanks!
Answer: A parasol is specific to the lens that is used. If you use the hood for 55-200 in the 18-55 target that would cause bullets in all focal lengths below 55 mm. Vignetting means the corners of your image would be dark, because the focal lengths of 55 mm below the peak the target will be in the viewing angle of the lens. Keep a UV filter on both lenses and a chapel designed for the lens. Remove the UV filter only when using your polarizer. Trust me, you better clean a filter or replacing it cleaning the front element of the lens or lens replacement, as I striped or spotted. Buy high-quality filters - Hoya, B + W, Tiffen are all excellent.
