Question: Are the Japanese Brands (Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Etc.) any good?
Are they as good as my Swedish Hasselblad 503cw with Danish Phaseone p45 back and German-made Zeiss Glass?
And also my 35mm Leica MP and Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH Lens?
The Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH is considered the best 50mm lens by the way.
Is a Nikon any better than a Lomo?Answer: They’re not designed to be as good as a Hasselblad. Canon, Nikon and so on are in the consumer camera business not the very high level pro side.
Although they do make cameras that many pros use, Hasselblad, as I think you already know, is a camera designed for the very high level pro who can then charge very large prices for their work.

Question: What is the best old style film camera to buy?I am looking to take some pictures that look like they are from the end of the top 70 80. I bought some old film kodakrome and now have a camera. I like taking photos but the lens R3 Leica 50mm Summilux is too expensive. Are there any other good old film cameras like the Leica images not?
Answer: If you can beat Olympus 35mm SLR, I would like to know why. They have been manufacturing more cameras from Canon or Nikon and I have used for over 40 years. I still using cameras made in 1967 – every day.

Question: Is a nikon d80 compatible with a metz 45 cl-1 flash?
Hi there, i own a d80, it has a hot shoe connection and no sync cable input. I was thinking of buying a AS- 15 hotshoe adapter which will allow me to plug a sync lead in. However, i believe the d80 is i-TTL, and the metz flash is non-TTL, meaning the metz flash has to be hand calibrated for the perfect exposure.
Are these units compatible or am i going to destroy a nice camera/ flash?

I thought id ask on here before ringing up nikon and metz, and being put on hold for hours
Answer: It should work. However, unless you either already own the Metz or can get an incredible deal, I’d seriously look at a TTL flash, either by Nikon or someone else. It makes things much easier.
When I got my D-70, I also got an SB-800 Nikon flash.I don’t worry about anything except the image I want.
(I remember when I used my first “auto”(non-TTL) flash. It was great. However, when I started, pros still used flash BULBS!)
Good luck!
