Question: Using a polarizer filter on a 12-24mm?
any body using a polarize filter on their Nikon 12-24mm?? any recommendation?
Thanks!!
i’ve heard that a polarizer filters are not really effective on wide angle lenses. how true??Answer: They are as effective on wide angle as on any other lens.
The problem you may have is vignetting at the edges.
I have that lens and regularly use a filter – at it’s widest there is slight vignetting at the edges which is easy enough to compensate for in post processing.

Answer: 1) polarizer turn – as they work. "Normal" polarizer before the date of the auto-focus and is designed to work just fine on older systems, manual focus. But all that auto (focus through the lens is almost all) a "circular" polarizing filter. Regulars confuse the auto-focus. Circular polarizers cost quite a bit more than regular customers, so if your polarizer was circular, they would make a big deal out of it on the packaging, and probably on the filter ring as well. It can not predict what it will be sold. If you're an eBay guy, you can conduct a search. 2) For all practical purposes, a skylight is no filtering. It is light pink and was used in the old days to warm up a photo when the sky was light blue (hence the name). This was a problem in the early slide films, but since the days of print film is the photo printer to do things, what color they want anyway. It is usually used to protect the front of the lens from damage. They are not worth much for resale. While I was this article the link to the Nikon lens eBay does not work, so I have no idea … Leave Hope that helps, and Happy Shooting!
