Question: What is the best setting to get high quality photo in digital IXUS 85 IS CANON camera ?

Answer: I’m not sure how different the 85 is, but I have the Ixus 75. One of the first steps is too make sure the camera is taking photos at the highest quality possible. Make sure that the settings when taking a picture are on ‘L’ (the highest resolution) and ‘Superfine’ on the other icon.

As for the mode, I find that Auto does a fine job anyway.

Again, sorry if your camera’s settings are not like this – I’m using the Ixus 75.

On a Canon Digital Ixus 70 (digital camera) the how you get to take pictures in black and white? Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry, I lost my instructions: (Thanks! X

Answer: There is something in the menu that allows cameras, but do what most of us … get great color photos of everything and then use our photo programs to convert only those images that might look great in black and white using the tools of the program. Open the image file using the tool and set saturation -100 to save the new image as a new name so as not to overwrite the file origninal. Use the tool to set the threshold level of black, white threshold and then using Setting the tone medium until you have your black and white perfect photo. DONE!
