Question: How do i get my Nintendo DS Lite to play games off a memory card? Modding?
Im not sure what you would call it, but my psp is modified that i download games to the memory cards. Is that possible with Nintendo Ds lite? Please include links or info on how this could be done
Thx
Answer: what you are looking for is called a flashcart. there are a lot of different brands out on the market, but the most common one is called the r4. although it is the most common and most used, a lot of people are actually unaware of good flashcarts these days, like the acekard 2, supercard dsone, cyclods evolution and m3real. i’ve owned all of these and i can definately say that the r4 is the worst of the lot. cyclods being the best as it has a lot of features like, real time save/load, battery saving mode, in game guide/walkthrough, in game menu, it is a little pricey, but still cheaper than an actual game card. the next best is the acekard 2 due to it’s cheapness, and support from the team. it’s so cheap that you can buy at least five acekards, and it will still be cheaper than the cyclods. acekard can be bought from http://www.dealextreme.com/search.dx/search.acekard (i’ve used this site a number of times and i highly recommend it, aside from having the cheapest prices, and great customer service, it also has free shipping, although slow it’s still worth the wait)
the cyclods can be bought from http://realhotstuff.com/ (a little expensive, but the shipping is fast and reliable)
as an owner of the flashcarts listed above, i would highly recommend getting the acekard 2, due to it’s cheapness and 1 year warranty from the team.you will also need a microsd card to download all you’re games onto. games on the ds range from 8MB up to 256MB. on average a ds game is only about 64MB so a 2GB card will hold about 30 games.
if you want to listen to music or watch video’s on the ds then you should try getting a larger card. most flashcarts should be able to handle microsd cards of 4GB or higher, exept the REAL r4. there are clones/fakes that allow you to use microsdhc cards, but as they use the r4 firmware, they will still be obsolete as april2008, when the last update was released. meaning that some newer games will not work on the r4. anyways i would recommend getting a 4GB card as it should hold enough games for your daughter to play, as well as fitting enough music/movies (movies need to be converted to be playable on the ds, and should only average about 200-250MB per movie) on it as well.

Question: Do you need a memory card to save games on the Nintendo Wii?I'm getting a Wii today and I need to know if I need a card memory. Because I have a GameCube memory card to save games.
Answer: No, because it has a Hard Drive 512 MB, but if you have hundreds of Wii games, save on an SD card. But if GameCube games on Wii, you will need a GC memory card.
