Question: What cases dryness during the winter, and how do I get beautiful silky hands?
during the winter, my hands always get crackly, and very dry. I had been putting on vasaline(pertrolium jelly) for a few days, and i stopped for 2. Now my hands are bleeding cuz it’s dry. What causes dryness? lack or moisture or moisture during the winter? and why would there be no moisture. it’s cold.
and how do i make my hands beautiful again.
u mean petrollium gelly is bad? i’ve been using that.Answer: I don’t hardly think petroleum jelly would be bad because it’s recommended for diaper rash.
The cold air definitely causes problems so always wear gloves when you are outside
Washing your hands a lot will dry them out and cause them to crack, too. Keep the water lukewarm when you do wash them so the hot water won’t dry your hands out so much.
If your hands are dry, the rest of your body is probably suffering, too. Don’t use deodorant soaps regularly, if at all, because they can cause a lot of skin problems because they dry your skin out way too much.
If you can use Ivory soap, try that and see if it works better for your showers and when you wash your hands. It is supposed to be the mildest soap and recommended for babies bath. What is odd is, my mother was allergic to it so buy one bar and try it first to see how your body reacts to it.
You might also try Cetaphil soap which is also very mild and may be more beneficial.
I have never, ever found lotions all that beneficial.
We have an all electric home and they are much drier inside, plus we live in TX where it’s dry so adding moisture to the air / our skin is a challenge at times. I don’t do too badly overall but my husband is having problems again with his legs itching all the time from the drier air and soaps he was using (Caress) (goes thru this every winter) so I bought some Aloe Vera Gel.
He used Gold Bond lotion (supposed to be really good) and another lotion we had here but they weren’t helping but the Aloe Vera Gel is doing the trick. He also now showers with the Cetaphil soap which doesn’t dry his skin out as much.
Put the Aloe Vera Gel on and then wear gloves at night as someone else suggested so it can work into the skin on your hands while you sleep plus the gloves will add a bit of moisture with the gel.
You might also want to put a very large (teflon*) pan of water on the stove and turn on the furnace fan (if you have one) and get some moisture in the air ~ be sure and watch the pan so it doesn’t go dry.
I put it on low heat and check it several times and add water as needed until we go to bed, then I turn it off and start it again the next day or sometimes wait for 3 days and do it again to keep moisture in the air throughout the week. You can add whole cloves to make the house smell good or add white vinegar to kill germs in the house.
Good luck ~ hope your hands feel better soon.

Question: What are the most beautiful and intriguing herbivores that pose no threat to humans?A herbivore is an animal that eats strictly plants, I think, if you've never heard that word before and did not feel like looking in a dictionary. True butterflies are Nice variety. Never thought I would.
Answer: Squirrels Rabbits Koalas Chipmunks I can not say elephants! They have been known to kill Humans! Then they can be very dangerous. Same thing with hippos, rhinos, ect. Almost all small herbivores are very gentle animals.

Question: Using iMovieHD with Flip MinoHD?
I am going to create a film project for youtube and when I create a new project on iMovieHD, it asks if I want, DV widescreen or HDV 720p. Keep in mind that my Mino shoots in 720p. Which should I choose for the best film quality?
Also, when I plug my Mino to a normal television through its video cables (only outputs normal definition, red, white, yellow) it shows in widescreen, but when attached to a 1080p TV, it takes the whole screen. Is the widescreen on the normal TV the flip camera trying to auto crop to adjust to fill the screen the most without blur? Or does the flip shoot in widescreen and on the HD, the standard output video is stretched and blurred?
Sorry for the confusing question.
And HDV=High def. video I’m guessing.Answer: If you recorded in DV widescreen, then select DV widesreen. This is standard definition 16:9. If you recorded in HDV 720p (as the Flip MinoHD does for default), then select that.
When you use the AV cables (Yellow video; red right audio; white left audio), this is analog, standard definition. Since high definition video is always – by default – widescreen, you will see the analog version of that on a standard definition TV playback in “letterbox” mode. That is the only way it will fit the video side-to-side. When you play high definition video back on an HDTV, it can fill the screen because it is in high definition format. HDTVs are always “widescreen”, 16:9 aspect ratio, width.
You are making this way more complex than it needs to be. There is no cropping or stretching going on.

Question: bring some resolution digital images smaller?ok. im looking to buy a new camera photo. patients developed IM and shoot style, even if they are really beautiful. I want a DSLR or SLR, or w / e its called. only thing I want to be able to take pictures for facebook, and the max resolution for loading on the peaks is 4 MB. However, I really want a camera with 10 MP, so I can blow up certain images. Thus, if I get an SLR high quality, I think through doing research i saw that one canon, Digital Rebel XTi could go up 30 MB, I might get later some converter on my computer to copy the photos I want (so I can keep the size of original quality), then do these smaller for facebook / myspace. Help please, thx. OHH also if u have any recommendations for DSLR or SLR (someone correct me w / The difference between these two), please feel free to comment on. Thx again.
Answer: SLR = Single Lens Reflex … identifies the category of film that are not point and shoot. DSLR = Digital Single Lens Reflex … means the digital equivalent of the above. You download free program to resize and resample a photo file size smaller. This way you can keep the original photo greater, and also have a smaller one for email, MySpace, etc. Irfanview is one, and there are many more. Whatever the photo editing software is delivered with your camera when you get it will probably do both. For a digital SLR, go with a Canon or Nikon, and do your research and you get exactly what you want ..
