Question: Photography accessories for a person starting out?
I have an interest in photography and plan to buy a Nikon D90 soon and take some digital photography classes. What are some other essential accessories that any photographers out there can recommend for someone starting out (such as a tripod, certain lenses, remote shutter release, etc.)? I know I am not ready for a lot of fancy equipment just yet, but I’d like to know some of the basic things I will need to go along with my camera.
Thank you to everyone for all the helpful information. It gives me something to work with. Since I know so little about photography right now I will leave it up to the photography whizzes out there to vote for the best answer. Thanks again.Answer: Get your camera with the kit lens, and perhaps a 50mm lens… learn to use those lenses well… you’ll also need uv filters for each of your lenses, to protect the front glass.. (get the best you can afford, cheap filters are not worth getting).. a circular-polarizing filter in each lens size. Lens cleaning equipment, and a bag larger than what you think you’ll need. An extra battery, and 2 4gb memory cards… that would be a good start for you.
