I have an XPS desktop computer at home, and it's great. I usually just take the memory and games on it and when I'm in my room and want to work for school or etc. I'm looking into purchasing one of the two laptops above. It was mainly used for portability and like to sit on the couch and surf on the web and do school work at home and at school.

Answer: If you are going to be the game, get XPS 8600 with Nvidia graphics card, which is much better than the ATI 3450 available with Studio 15. If you're just going to do school work, then get the Studio 15 due to its lower cost.
