Answer: certainly> 100% that your laptop only takes what it needs means your adapter is underloaded NOT use a laptop one overburdened 9000 Watts, if you can and it is as safe on your laptop only a # exaggeration to prove my point that just as safe! EDIT: two posts above and below me say something else NOT mis-guide people thanks if you do not know Snagelfritz:! the greater adapter makes no sense to a laptop, as far as catering, additional and peripheral devices, causing these are pretty much not be upgradeable in laptops, the only effect is to get batteries charged fast
