So I really want to get in to macro photography but I have no idea where to start. I’m looking for a camera and a macro lens that isn’t over the top expensive but good quality.

Answer: One good option is to buy a camera with a standard lens and buy what’s called a “reverse mount” adaptor. This is a small ring which allows the lens to be mounted back to front on the camera, effectively turning it into a macro. This way you get two lenses for the price of one. Question: Can I use my (old) Canon macro lens on any Canon camera again?

There has to be canon – I just want to know if I use an old lens on a new camera model.

Answer: There is no such thing as an EOS lens mount. If using a Digital SLR camera now, then the lens has to be either EF-S, which probably is not, or EF mount that probably is less than your very old, in which case it is likely that is an FD mount and will need an adapter.
