Question: I have a Nikon D50 camera I cannot get my off camera Nikon flash to work. What could be my problem?
This a flash I use on other Nikon cameras but cannot get to work on my digital D50, all the contacts match. Could I not have something set on a menu?
Answer: The flash you are trying to use must be labeled as a TTL (through the lens) flash as that is how this camera gets it’s light readings. There are some other Nikon flashes that will work in auto on this camera and they should be listed in your manual or check here…… 3) Non-TTL Auto: Available with Speedlights such as SB-800, 80DX, 28DX, 28, 27, and 22s 4) Distance-priority manual available with SB-800……

Question: How does the Nikon F-301 work camera flash?? Ideas? We have a Nikon F-301 aircraft Photo manual, but do not know how to get flash to work. It has new batteries in and connected to the top of the camera, it also makes a noise (as it is turned on) when we turn the flash, it flashes just by taking a picture. Anybody got or had this camera or something similar and know what to do? Thank you
Answer: OK, in the United States this device was the N2000. It has no flash and I must therefore ask that you use Speedlight with it? All the flash does not work in all modes with this device. Here are the manual and the flash info is on page 26 http://www.cameramanuals.org/nikon_pdf/nikon_n2000.pdf
