Question: Canon EF 50mm f1.8 lens?
I've researched, and it looks great... price wise as well as quality wise.
As far as I can tell, it doesn't have IS (image stabilization), but that seems to be because it doesn't need it. Am I correct? People seem to think that it has a "sharper" image quality compared to the 18-55mm kit lens that comes with my camera, the Rebel XS.So, questions:
1. Will photos looks sharp in the foreground without a tripod? I want to do portraits with that soft DOF background blurring2. DOES IT HAVE MANUAL **AND** AUTOFOCUS? Or does it just have manual unless you get the f1.4? This is important to me!!
Answer: You don't need IS at this focal range.
And for $100, it's really worth every penny.

Question: setting up a photo studio can you help me ?????I started to set up a studio Photo and it is just for friends and family ... not trying to start a buissiness yet! I am only a teenager. I need help finding torque continuously lighted lamps "soft boxes and background. I do not want an environment that is like the fabric I want, like a paper. Answer: I am not a fan of the lighting continuous. Softbox with continuous lighting are no longer a staple of the video photography. For as little as you can get the strobe lights. If you do not have a camera flash which will fire a shoe-in other words, you almost use continuous lighting. I done for a year or two when I started getting asked to do portraits. It can be done. Its hot springs. This is not ideal. I could see that it is difficult to picture mode or something like that, but for portraits poignant, it works very well. In fact, it really works good for babies. They Kinda Freak to the flashes. Do not hit muslin until you try it. Make sure you have enough lighting backdrop. EBay reserves the kits Victor Smith fairly cheap. Perhaps also try pricegrabber.com also if you can find a particular one you want to get their details from the eBay way. Good Luck.
