Question: Change the lens on a point and shoot camera?
This is actually a question my sister has. She's wondering if its possible to put a zoom lens on a point-and-shoot camera. We figured it wasn't possible, but I figured i'd double check just in case someone has heard of a way.
Answer: the vast majority of point-and-shoot cameras will not allow lenses to be used.
some however, such as a few cannons, have some grooves around the lens which can fit an adapter, which you can then place a lens on top of. look for this screw-on type ridges around the ridge of your camera lens.

Question: What video camera / video recorder should I get?I want a camcorder that can record the times fun between me and my friends with good graphics. It can not be excessively expensive ($ 300 maximum) but it can be as small or super cheap or anything thing and has to be a good Quiality, a brand name that can record funny moments and good things. That will last me awhile. You must have a good digital zoom and a case. It may be too complicated and I want to be able to easily record videos and show in my computer / TV with ease.
Answer: My first choice for a MiniDV camcorder is a model and are readily available for under $ 300. I recommend a Panasonic model. The only drawback is the need for a port Computer's FireWire and video capture software. For a flash memory model, check out the Panasonic SDR-S7K. Canon makes excellent cameras, but their cameras video displays have not been well in reliability ratings. I would avoid using cameras. You would not have any warranty and camcorders ecpensive are to fix.
