Question: Why does a red filter absorb the colors blue and green?

Oh, and does this sound right when you are describing why a red filter absorbs things?

"The red filter would be absorbing the small amounts of red transmitted by the colour of the drawing (which is yellow, pink etc.). This would cause the drawings coloured with red seem to 'disappear'"
Will someone please see my previous questions here and see if they can fiure it out? =) Please :)

Answer: The red filter transmits red light and absorbs other colours.

The white paper reflects all colours of light falling on it.

Blue paint reflects only blue light and absorbs any other colour of light falling on it.

Red paint reflects only red light and absorbs any other colour of light falling on it.

When you cover the painting with a red filter then only red light can reach it. Any part of the painting that can reflect red light will do so. Any part that absorbs red light will appear dark. The red light that is reflected will pass back out through the filter towards your eyes.

The red bits "disappear" because the red light reflected by the red paint looks the same as the red light reflected by the white paper.

Hope that helps.

Question: 93 Oldsmobile 88, changed the fuel filter, why does it still only up to thirty miles an hour, when I plan it?

Fuel pump is working, acts as the gas is bad, do not rev up, so do not cross linked. What could be the name of the party that controls the mixture air fuel?

Answer: The computer controls the air / fuel mixture. This is not the problem, though. Sounds like a converter catalytic evil. Bring to a muffler shop and let them check it out>
