Question: Can tripods hold any type of camera?
I find myself making short little videos onto youtube more nowadays. But it's so aggravating because since i don't have a tripod, i have to make do with what i have by using random boxes and books stacked together to get a good fix on whatever i'm videotaping. And i seriously want to get a tripod. Can tripods hold any type of camera??? Now bear in mind that i have a small Canon camera that can only hold 8 minutes of video. It is not a video camera. It's just a regular small camera that happens to hold videos.
REMEMBER IT IS NOT A CAMCORDER!Answer: Any consumer camera intended for tripod use will have a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the bottom for attachment. However not all cameras have the tripod hole, many very small cameras are hand-held only. Tripods that have a long handle are better for video as they aim the camera faster and can even follow action but any style tripod is good for holding a camera still.

Question: T1i Canon or Nikon D90?My birthday is just now and now I have enough money to buy the canon T1i. I have set my eyes on the camera had for a long time ... that up to my Father said to wait until I have enough to buy the Nikon D90 too. Now I have done my research and the Nikon D90 is clearly the better choice. It works better in every respect, except the non-1080p hi-def video. The kit lens is much better than. 'Tis The T1i The disadvantages for the d90 However, it is larger, heavier, more expensive ($ 300 or so), and the more expensive Nikkor lenses as well. The T1i not as powerful as the D90, but it is smaller, much cheaper, and has access to all Canon EOS lenses, which are cheaper and some say, are much better than Nikkor lenses. I could use the extra $ 300, to choose to buy other lenses, a bag, a tripod, etc. Please help me.
Answer: Severe decision, both have very similar properties and functions. The D90 kit for $ 963.00 and the T1i (500D) kit for $ 769.00. The differences in MP and video functions are negligible. The Nikon D90 is known for its quality. What lens, D90 has a lot of ways, not least because it pretty much any F-mount lens made from 1979 onwards. Since the D90 has the autofocus motor built into the body you used to access a lot of very affordable AF lenses. One of the main reasons why I prefer the Nikon, the Canon and Sony is that they have their own auto focus assist light built into the body (all models) while running the Canon and Sony before they flash this function. In certain situations, the use can interfere with the flash shot as AF illuminator with your. I am surprised that Canon and Sony still use flash for AF is on to assist their lower end models, because at its upper end models, they have separate AF assist light bulbs. If you choose to use older 35mm lenses, what You have to use the older 35mm lenses with the use of D5000 to remember is that you multiply the focal length by 1.5, because the sensor is smaller than the original 35mm film. This means that a 18-200mm lens at the D5000 would be a 27-300mm lens and a 50mm lens would become a 75mm lens. Check out the last two links for compatibility of the table Nikon lenses and bodies. Edit: More on video capabilities between the two: Yes, that T1i the Full HD (1920 x 1080p), but only at 20 FPS. Both can HD (1280 x 720p), not 30 FPS. The Nikon can zoom while recording, but the T1i can zoom while recording video, but that's not really a great implementation of this, because you will be able to hear the AF motor in your recordings on the microphone next to the lens.
