Question: New lens for Olympus E-500?
I've got an olympus E-500 and I love it so don't tell me that another brand is best but...I'm looking to buy a better lens than the kit (14-45 and 40-150). I really like macro but I also want to improve my everyday shooting. I was thinking about a 14-54, a macro or something that will zoom more.
Any suggestions from other Oly users? Are Oly macro lenses worth it or should I go with a zoom or something else to improve everyday shooting. Oly kit lenses are much better than the other kit lenses but certain things require better than the kit lenses.
Answer: when olympus released the first DSLR (E300?) I was at the launch in Sydney.
you are right they are a fine camera (4/3's is cool) and your right the kits lens are great,
anyone who rubishes it is a fool, however the lens selection is a little weak, they are all at the link below
where they fall in the market they are very good

Question: What are the best OPENING LOW Olympus zoom lens for E-520 you know?Answer: The best through the lens of Olympus opening start in the professional range. most are prime telephoto and go for over $ 3000. but there are some for maybe $ 800 -- $ 1000. That's the problem I have with Olympus as an Olympus user, are not consumer-grade and super crazy, not much middle ground. and that is also why Pulled some children do not think highly of the brand. However, Olympus takes the approach that we use a mantra here. Get a camera and lens forward with little and good. The 12-60 2.8 is very popular and I've heard good things about it. I think the kit came with the E-1 so they can find some used. But I must say you have to pay. But if you think you can handle a 2.8 prime normal cake has been a faithful companion to me for a while, but goes for $ 250-ish (in constant change in Amazonas).
